Charlene Dinger is a Professional Dancer, Choreographer, Fitness Trainer and Yoga Instructor. Charlene has trained extensively in Cecchetti method ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, acrobatics, and street dance.
Charlene has been teaching dance for over 15 years, in both the UK and Canada. She has shared her knowledge of dance, yoga and fitness to reputable schools and studios including: Premiere Dance Inc (Burlingon); Waterdown Dancer’s Inc. (Waterdown); Coffey’s Danc’n Place (Brampton); Linda Collins School of Dance (Burlington); Oakville Academy for the Arts; Dance Co. (Vancouver); Montage Theatre Arts (London, UK); Dance Vision (London, UK); Diddi Dance (London, UK); Kinisi Dance Company, Artistic Director (London, UK); The Dance Station (Burlington); The Cornerstone Studio (Toronto); and Saana Yoga (Toronto).
Charlene has received several certifications from reputable training programs including: Dance Masters of America (Jazz & Ballet); Canadian Dance Teachers Association (Acro); Cecchetti Method Ballet Syllabus; Performing Arts Educators of Canada (Tap); 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training (Modo Yoga).
She is Co-Director of ‘MiCha Entertainment’ alongside her husband, Miha Matevzic, and together they run workshop classes, perform, teach, and produce the dance showcase ‘Collage’ – a platform for professionals in Toronto to create and share new works.
Charlene danced on the BRIT Awards with Florence and the Machine; was part of the professional cast in the London Olympic Games 2012 Closing Ceremonies performance; choreographed the 2013 Miss Teen & Miss Dancefest Pageant opening performance; and has also worked on a number of commercials and music videos.
She is a regular adjudicator for dance competitions across Canada, including: View Dance Challenge, Rhythm Dance, Thunderstruck Canada, Dancefest Canada, and Encore (UDO).
Charlene is currently studying Psychology at Ryerson University’s Chang School for Continuing Education and recently became a certified yoga instructor. She strives to blend her passions, offering young dancer’s workshops in yoga, movement and breath to enhance their performance skills and allow them to find more stillness and balance in their lives outside of dance. Charlene works regularly as an adjudicator across Canada and is passionate about sharing her experiences in order to educate the future generations of young dancers.
