Brianna Clarke

Her early training included 9 years of competitive dance at Leeming Danceworks in Ottawa, where she worked closely with established choreographers such as Emma Portner, Linda Garneau, Hani Abaza, David Norsworthy, and Kristen Carcone. After high school, she moved to Toronto to gain a BFA in Performance Dance at Ryerson University where she performed works by Hanna Kiel, Hassan El-Amin, Alysa Pires and Dylan Crossman of the Merce Cunningham Trust. The summer of her second year, she travelled to Greece to further study the history of theatre and the arts. She is a classical trained vocalist and passed her Grade 5 piano examination from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Brianna has worked with NEAR&FAR Projects as a company artist, has judged for dance competitions, and free-lance choreographs for multiple dance studios across Ontario.

Participating in intensives has helped Brianna further develop her technique. She has recently studied Gaga in NYC, attended The Performing Arts Project in North Carolina, and trained in the Metamorphosis Method of Spain. Also, Brianna has passed her ADAPT Jazz and RAD Advanced 2 Ballet examinations. She is the host and producer of (Art)versations Podcast on Apple/Spotify/YouTube where she speaks with artists of all kinds about their creative endeavours.
