Dawson Lloyd

Dawson Lloyd is a performer, choreographer and teacher currently working out of Toronto. Dawson started his training at the age of 8 at Joy of Dance Center in Toronto, Ontario. At Joy of Dance he trained in Lyrical, ballet, Hiphop, competitive Hip hop and competitive Lyrical. During his time in High school Dawson attended Rosedale Heights School of the arts where he trained in more classical forms of dance such as, Modern, Contemporary and Jazz. After High school Dawson completed his BFA Dance degree from Ryerson University where he performed works by Hannah Kiel, Jera Wolfe, Merce Cunningham Repertoire and Petter Chin. During his summer months he trained at many intensive’s such as Gadfly Summer intensive, Kenny Pearl and got accepted into Springboard in Montreal.

Outside of the Contemporary world, Dawson also has trained in commercial styles of dance in Lyrical, Commercial Jazz and Hiphop. Dawson train’s around Toronto at the Underground Dance Center and Studio North.

Over the years Dawson’s Passion for teaching has grown and so has his experience. Over the years Dawson has taught at Joy Of Dance Center for their competitive team and Recreational Programs. He also Teaches at Dancelifex for their drop in contemporary classes. Dawson continues to strive to make connections with artist and aspiring artist, while sharing his passion for this art form.
