Lance ‘Leftelep’ Johnson has over 20 years of experience in breaking, and is the co-founder of the hip-hop arts collective, Albino Zebrah (est. 1998). His work is influential for its unique focus on improvisation and creative freedom, for which he received Manifesto’s “T.O. Original” Floor Award for creativity (2010, 2011).
Lance has performed as part of Breakin’ Convention’s Open Art Surgery (2014), headlined along with crew members at Unity Charity Festival (2017), and is regularly invited to judge dance events across Canada.
His teaching style is designed to empower students to be creative individuals, while working to develop breaking techniques used most by many of the masters of the dance.
